Each fall the free (and free-wheeling) Word Vancouver festival takes over part of the downtown. On Sep 28, I’m involved in two events at UBC Robson Square. Please drop by…and check out the full lineup of literary treats.

11:00-12:00, Sunroom/Gallery
A Writer’s Life: Finding the Balance Between Solitude and Community. This interactive session explores how writers can protect our alone time and stay active in our artistic community. This is my first in-person event as the new ambassador of the Federation of BC Writers.

12:30-:1:30, Room C440
Environmental Concerns: The Good, the Bad, and the Personal. In a panel discussion moderated by Vince Beiser, I join journalist Sarah Cox and poet Meghan Fandrich to read from and chat about our books.
